Brief

I did concept ship RnD to find a hard-surface design solution in houdini and here I present the result.
I did sideview photoshop sketch with R G B colors.
In houdini I extruded poly surface by colors in those sketches.
R is for main body, B is part of body or wingspan and G means fin.
I could get parting lines out of noise procedural way but had to do fine tune at the end. Also I added some extra details manually to fill the empty areas of the noise pattern.
I did not retouch anything for now to check the CG quality only.
Pros |After I finish setting up houdini scripts, I could get quite interesting shapes or unexpected shapes in a short amount of time. (happy accident everywhere!)
Cons | Meshs straight out of houdini was not for a production quality and needs to be cleaned up.
